About Eric

Yep, that’s me above at 6 years old, “playing newspaper.”

Since then, I’ve lived out my childhood dreams, working as a writer and editor at newspapers and magazines in nearly every corner of the country. I graduated from Mizzou, the world’s greatest journalism school. Now, I write and edit at the No. 1 school for entrepreneurship.

At Babson College, I’m the editorial director and editor of Babson Magazine and Babson Thought & Action, creating and sharing the stories of alumni, students, entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurial leaders.

I’ve worked for newspapers in Boston, Chicago, Aurora, Yuma, Spokane, and Columbia, Missouri. I’ve served on a staff named a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize, covered Tony Gwynn and the San Diego Padres, created a special section on Michael Jordan, and wrote the Boston Herald headline the night the Red Sox broke their curse — “AMEN!”

I’ve hiked the Great Wall in China and crossed the Bosphorus River in Turkey during my time  as director of communications for an educational travel company. And, as managing editor for a small sports media company, I edited, designed, and produced nearly 400 magazine issues.

Currently, I live in the Boston area with my wife and children while trying to learn electric guitar
